Where do you guys have your gauges plumbed in at? I only ask because if you have it on the turbo side of the intercooler, it will read higher than what the engine is actually getting. Unless our intercoolers are efficient enough to have zero pressure drop (doubtful). If they were, they wouldn't be doing a very good job of cooling the air.

Anyways, my reading is from my programmer (map sensor). I see 22-23 with the wastegate line plugged in and 24-25 with it unplugged. This is unloaded with about 300 lbs of cargo and myself. I tightened my stock wastegate rod about 3/16" and it brought my numbers up 1-1.5 psi across the board.

EDIT: The numbers I posted are after my wastegate rod adjustment.

Mine is tapped into the hose going from the intake spyder pipe to the MAP sensor, so it's getting true boost readings.

Ya. I figured everyone had theirs plumbed right. Just wanted to throw that out there just in case.

I'm fully aware that you will need a bigger turbo and injectors for 40psi, but you also forgot the other obvious thing which is a proper tune. You also should have other supporting mods to make sure that that much power is safely supported.

Just making sure you weren't setting yourself up for some disappointment

HAHA
Im always dissapointed with the truck and stock tune, with stock everything. I sold my bullydog tuner before I had my DP ordered, and then havent since ordered my dptuner. My own fault I suppose.
Im doing the slow, steady mod race, starting with all the supporting mods first, and then go for the power.
FRx is next I think, unless I do a reg return while I do the ultimate prepump filter setup. I have most all the stuff for the reg return, just need some fuel line mostly.....OH and time, lol.

Im not looking forward to dropping the tank though....blah.

Then remove the bed instead of dropping the tank.

You first need to learn that boost is a measurement of restriction = inefficiency. I can hit upper 50's and wish i only ran 40, my turbo haaaaates it.

34 lbs max boost on mine. Guage is plumbed into the AIH port.

Diesel fitter bum, which fooler do you have? if it is the air pressure regulator type, then there is a definate input and output side, make sure you have it right or that may be you cause of boost loss. (hint- on the bottom of the regulator there is an arrow indicating direction of flow, make sure it is pointing towards the MAP sensor.)
