Is there a site or thread that has actual comparisons (before & after) for common performance upgrades? Headers/exhaust, K&N, chips, etc. Something factual, not just "sounds great!", or "it feels stronger now".
I did an experiment with my truck 07 5.4 3v and an edge tuner. My tests showed that the egde didn't really do much performance wise. Everybody said because I didn't give the computer time to adjust. Oh well I'm sure that could be the truth for anything you put on these trucks. So good luck finding something!
...even most enthusiast magazines don't publish any legitimate data. All sorts of ambiguous statements like "breathing better", "livened up the engine", etc. Sounds like some kind of spa or someting. For the price of performance equipment, I expect to see some kind of actual data to back up the snake oil sales pitches.
I have 2007 F150 Crew cab lariet. I ran Truck in 1/4 at track with a best time of 16.8 @83mph. After installing both a Roush Intake and the Edge Evo running on extreme setting the truck ran 14.9@91. Same drag strip nearly same weather conditions. If this helps any.

No, because most people are not going to pay for dyno time to see what affect each mod has singularly.
Some magazines (car and motorcycle) actually fund comparative study articles. I guess none of the truck magazines care to do any objective comparatve studies.
