I have had three Access Roll Top Covers on different vehicles and am very pleased with their look, durability and functionality. I often carry stuff in the back of my truck, so a hard "fixed" lid is no good.
The Access cover is very taught, so no flapping around on the highway and doesn't stretch much. It has some latch features which allow you to lock it down, but I wouldn't consider it very secure since anyone could just cut through it to gain access to the bed.
It rolls up neat and clean when you need to utilize the bed and doesn't have any loose tension rods to deal with.
I've given a lot of thought to this myself since I just got the new truck. My F150 I had a cap on it... most things would fit under the cap so most of the time it was just fine. And I liked the low profile look it had and complimented the reg cab short bed truck well. But it never failed I'd be pulling that sucker on and off a few times a year atleast, and I usually did it by myself and usually either resulted in some damage to the cap or my back each time! I dont think I'd like the look on the new truck as much, and buying those things new are $$$. I need something to keep the elements off the cargo though, and would be nice to be removable on the fly so I have decided so far on the Xtang Trifecta which is a soft cover that folds up and can be driven folded or pops right up and sets along the side of the bed if needed. I like the looks and security of the hard tops better but just to costly and still have the problem of not being able to remove on the fly.
