Assuming you have a 4x4 the most logical swap would be a 1976 or 1977 F-250 disc brake front... it will literally bolt in. Brake hoses, master cylinder, and metering valve will need to be changed also.
I would go with the high pinion too. Drive shaft will have to be modified but a lot better drive shaft angle. Spring pads are the same width. I would also get the steering box from the 77.5-79 and graft it in at this time as well.
I am currently in the process of doing the exact same thing, From the suggestions of members of this forum, I purchased a 1979 F250 4X4. I removed the axle from my 1975 F250 4X4 and am doing the swap, removing the axles was easier than I thought it would be. One thing I'm doing right now is changing the gears in the front differential from 3:54 to 4:10's to match my existing rearend ratio. I purchased these parts from Jeff's Bronco Graveyard for under $500.00, which also includes a trac lok so I will have both front wheels pulling at the same time. Should be a good setup. Too bad the donor truck I bought did not have the same ratio as my truck, but oh well. I also am getting rid of my power assist steering setup and am switching the power steering over to the 1979 Integral setup. There has been a lot of artcles and pictures describing these swaps in this forum and I am grateful for the help of these members. Good Luck in your project and don't be afraid to ask questions on this forum as these members are very helpful.
