RJP66F100 asked on paw paws thread about putting smaller disc on the cv front end. i would also like the answer. has any one changed the disc brakes and bolt pattern on the cv front end. i like the cv front end but don't won't the large wheels and tires you need to use with it. would appreciate any info on this subject. thank you
The CV also uses a high off-set wheels so if your going to use it you will need to narrow the K-Member or make your own your your desired width.
You apparantly can use Nascar type wheels becouse they use a different type of rim to allow huge brakes for a 15" rim by comparison. Aero wheel company I think sells them, but they are not DOT legal. Like I wouldn;t do it.
You maybe able to grind down the front calipers to clear. Or wilwood has some smaller/thinner calipers then typical stock ones that you maybe able to make work.
Other then that I don't think it is possable for the average guy to grind off the caliper mounting points, and then move them down in comparison for a 11.5 inch disk.
