I'm going to put those sway bar bushings in because it probably needs them anyways. But, why would the truck clunk when getting off the throttle after hard acceleration if it was the sway bar bushings?

That clunk may not be the swaybar bushings. Check the drive line. Put a bar through the u-joints and twist them back and forth to check for play. Sounds like something is loose.
Well, changed the sway bar bushings and its a no go. The noise is still there. So i took the sway bar off completely to make sure and the noise kinda got more frequent. Any more ideas? anyway to check the leaf spring eye bushings or cab mounts?
My 02 does the same thing. It seemed to come about after I installed a 8 inch lift. All ball joints and u-joints are also brand new. And since the lift was done all the sway bar end links are new, still clunks in the front end. Cant figure it out and it gets really annoying.
Heres what i replaced so far up to today. Ball joints, sway bar bushings, track bar, u joints, greased slip joint, new tie rods, checked calipers, new shocks, checked cab mounts. And guess what, clunk is still there. Its fustrating that i still haven't found it. but better to pay myself to keep trying to find it then someone else. What i need is a lift the has hyd pump shocks for each wheel and use it like the offroad test cells do. just shake and bump and rattle the crap out of it to try and find it. until i can get that....... next on my list is lead spring bushings, try and check the cab mounts again. Anyone else got any further ideas???
