i just stuffed a linclon motor in to a 78 150 i had to cut a notch in the mount that is bolted to the frame on the driver side. the next thing thats a pain was to find the proper motor mount i had to get one that closely fit my block and then drill one more hole to make fit. my expert napa manager thanks to him got us the motor mount after three trys. also you will have a very tight fit on your passanger side between the starter and the manifold.
As Wally stated above, 1973/79 F100/350's (all 2WD's) came with 460 engines.
The following parts are specific to 1973/79 F100/350's with 460's. These parts are all obsolete, the part numbers are only listed to ID which parts are which.
D3TZ6028A .. Right Engine Support // D3TZ6029A .. Left Engine Support
D3TZ6030A .. Right Engine Bracket * // D3TZ6031A .. Left Engine Bracket *
the lincoln motors sit lower than a stock ford 460 thats why you have to cut the mount and the motor mounts are diffrent than a ford 460
The Lincoln (and other passenger cars) engine block is the exact same thing as was used in 1973/79 F100/350's.
You don't have to cut ANYTHING!! All one needs is the 1973/79 F100/350 460 engine mounting parts to install a 429 or a 460 into a 1967/79 F100/350 2WD.
Looong before there were all the various aftermarket companies selling 460 mounts, Ford dealers sold these 1973/79 mounts to anyone that was planning this swap.
I sold so many of these parts...that I memorized the part numbers...over 30 years ago.
There are lots of ways to do it... you can do as Bill said and get the stock 460 mounts from somewhere or you can go to broncograveyard.com they have everything needed to do a 460 swap. L & L Products also has the stuff...I hear their good but have never worked with them.
I will be doing a 460 swap sometime and will try either of the first 2.
I'm thinking stock 460 mounts will not work or there would be no reason to pay $130 for CONVERSION mounts when you could just get aftermarkets for a third of that.

STOCK 460 supports (aka towers, stands, perches) from 1973/79 460 F100/350's bolt right on to 1967/79 F100/350's.
There is no cutting, no welding required.
The 1973/79 F100/350 engine block to insulator brackets and rubber insulators, crossmember and its insulator will also work just fine without any trouble at all.
However...1968/78 Passenger Car & 1975 and later Econoline 460 engine mounts/insulators willnotwork in 1967/79 F100/350's.
Any idea if an engine mount from a 1979 F-250 2wd with a 460 will work to swap a 460 in place of a 351 in a 79 4x4? I'm guessing no, or like I said above, there would be no need for the conversion mounts.

The two rubber insulators (D3TZ6038A) and the two engine block to insulator brackets (D3TZ6030A right & D3TZ6031A left) will work to install a 460 into a 1967/79 4WD, but...
The 2WD 460 supports won't work because there is no crossmember to bolt them to.
The 4WD engine supports bolt to the frame rails.
There were no 460's available with 4WD until 1983, and these parts will not work on 1979 or earlier F100/350's.
