Carb tag decode needed...
Also, I just found out today from the PO that this carb may have been re-jetted to run leaner than it did before - He couldn't remember exactly as it had been a while, but he thinks the owner before him had re-jetted it...
A Carter BBD I can do blindfolded, but I've never torn into one of these Motorcrafts before so, I don't know what to look for as far as rods/jets...
My intent is to re-jet this carb to match the fact that the EGR was removed... If I have to buy new rods/jets, can I just get them from a parts house or is there somewhere else to get them from?
I have someone giving me a Motorcraft 4bbl on trade but it might be a while before I can get an intake for it...
The tag numbers I posted above came off a distributor tag, not the carb - when I swapped out the dizzy, I took the tab off and, I guess I mixed it up with the carb tab...
Anyway, the correct carb tag numbers are, as follows:
E1TE
BGA
D018

The dead giveaway is 12127, a dizzy basic part number.
Anyway, the correct carb tag numbers are, as follows:
E1TE-BGA
1980/89 Ford Light Truck Parts Catalog / Section 95, Carburetor Parts List #3M.
E1TE-BGA = C3DZ9533A .. Carburetor Jet ~ #53F.
Optional: C3GY9533C .. Carburetor Jet ~ #54F.
These two jets date back to the original Auto-Lite 2V carbs introduced in 1962/63. Both are obsolete, but are EZ to find at dealers, obsolete parts vendors.
E1PZ9A586N .. Carburetor Kit (Motorcraft CT1383) / Obsolete
GRIESEL MOTOR CO. in Okarche OK has ONE = 405-263-7242.
ANTIQUE AUTO SUPPLY in Arlington TX has ONE = 817-275-2381.

What are the specific applications for the E1TZ/E1PZ (1981) carbs? I dunno and it would take an hour or so to find out.
After 1979, there are NO carb application charts in Ford parts catalogs.
So...what has to be done is troll thru dozens upon dozens of Calibration Code (C/C) parts lists to find the carb's application(s).
1980/89 Trucks, Bronco's, Econolines and etc: There are over 800 different C/C parts lists, I kid you not!
There can be as many as 30 different C/C parts lists for just one specific year vehicle with one specific engine.
Without the specific C/C, the entire process is a royal PITA. This is also the case with ALL emissions related parts and some other fuel related parts, all the computers and related parts.
