85' f250 Electrical problem

My 85' 6.9 was idleing last night when it suddenly shut off, no power to the ignition, lights or anything else.
Is there a main fuse or breaker some where other than the fuse panel? What else might cause this problem if the fuse panel has not blown anything?

There are fusible link leads (yellow) on the passenger side fender well. Also another plug that is grey and may apear corroded or melted from a poor connection IIRC. Basically check all the connections on the passenger side fender well. One of them feeds the whole cab.

TRY this linky https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...l-problem.html

Check all the wiring on the pax fender..... look for a large grey connector with yellow wires...... or a large black connector with many wires..... Most members who found burnt wire problems soldered the wires together and used shrink tube to cover them.

you might also have a look at the ignition switch itself located under the dash bolted on the top of the steering column. If you have a voltmeter check for voltage there and in the fuse box.

Not many people ever have problems with that connector, can you tell?

Sorry, that was an attempt at dry humor.
