79 250 Need some help
I am going to buy a 79 from a friend of mine, no motor or trans or box, but there is very little cab rust and the frame is in great shape. Plus im getting an extra front clip for 350 bucks so the price is right. Plus ive got a straight 6 and auto,208 laying in the shed to go in it so it should be a nice budget truck. The questions I have lay around the bed, I was thinking of building a wooden flatbed to keep the price down untill a later time. Anyone have any pictures of theirs? Also what sorta wheels and tires will fit under it? I have extra leaf springs laying around, could I make my own add a leafs for it to raise it an inch or two without having to change the steering?

same here got a 74 F250 shortbed with no bed on it. an I was going to check locally an see if anybody had some wood they was getting rid of an use it for the bed. I checked bout getting it inspected an they said it has to have a rear bumper taillights an rear fenders & no rust on body & good tires an all lights working to pass. Plan on having it done by spring.

Well I can get the 460 c6 205 that was in it for a grand total 500 for everything. Only catch is the motor needs rebuilt. Im thinking of maybe just getting the c6 205 and looking around for a decent running 460 or maybe a 400.
