Hello I am looking for a new project to do. I heard something about swapping the rear tank with a bronco tank to add capacity to the trucks. My question is how do you do it and what exactly do you need to pull it off and if possible exact part numbers only reason I am asking for exact stuff is I cant afford for my truck to be down for more than one day. Thanks yall for your help!!!
"SPECTRA PREMIUM Part # F26E
38 Gallon; Behind Rear Axle; Lock Ring Kit Included; Optional High Capacity Tank; Requires Modification of Sending Unit as per Instructions in Box
The parts to do this come in a bag with the tank, along with pipe and bolts to drop the tank down to mount it. It doesn't say that, but mine came with everything.
Skip the Bronco Tank and do the 38 gal tank!
(FWIW I was the first one about 8 years ago to do the Bronco tank. )
Alright Thank you Jim. I will get cracking on the ordering. Hope to have it soon. I need more fuel capacity to be able to handle the long drives that I do.
That f26E tank is cool. I wish I could get a larger sized front tank for my truck. if anyone knows where I could get something like that I sure would appreciate knowing. I'd even consider buying a used tank from a junker. all the places that made them back in the day, no longer make them. the 38 gallon in back is a good start i guess. having a short box already, i don't want an aux. tank in my bed.
