batteries are draining

batteries are draining
91 f-350, two brand new batteries with 1000 CA each. cannot keep a charge in them. Alternator is good. Any ideas on where to start looking for what is draining the batteries

Disconnect both battery positives... using one battery place a test light between the positive cable and the post on the pax side. If there is a light go to the fuse box and start pulling fuses....... if the light goes out you have the usage thats killing your batteries. So check all the items on that fuse........If not then replace the fuse and move on.......

Welcome to FTE and the IDI diesel forum.
If you don't find the draw in the fuse box, unhook the alternator wire and see if it is where the draw is.
Alternator charging is about all some parts places check for.
Bad diodes let the alternator drain the batteries whe the engine is not running.
