Oil Leak, Exhaust Smell...?? help

soo i noticed today when my truck was in the garage that i have an oil leak that seems to be runnin down the bellhousing of the tranny and i got no idea where its coming from, could this be related to my exhaust fumes in the cab smell?? just a dumb question but figured i would throw it out there..my truck sat prob for about 2 hrs in the garage and left like a quater size drop of oil on the floor but its defintly coming from up top it appears and running down around the tranny, cause its on my tranny cooler lines and stuff..soo i know its coming from some where up above its just my question was could this also be tied together with me getting exhaust smell in the cab?? idk maybe if i had an oil leak and exhaust leak around the same place...

Chances are the exhaust smell is leaking up-pipes. As for the oil, check to see if you have oil in the valley of the engine. There is a drain hole on the backside of the valley that allows the oil to run down the back of the block onto the trans.

Clean up the oil and then check to see where it leaks from. We can help you find a solution from there.

I hope not. If there was it would be a BIG problem.

Pedistal o-rings or the EBPV plunger.

Only stuff back there is the pedestal/ turbo o-rings and the EPBV rod that comes out of the pedestal.

IIRC the drain is on the passenger side, so stuff tends to pool toward that side.

As far as the exhust leak. Just had this problem. had the fuel pump changed on my 06 250 with 6.0. The tech did not tighten the pipes connecting the turbo causing a leak. According to the tech ther was soot everyway. Might want to check out you connections.

I would check the boots on the spider. If the clamps are loose it will leak some oil. Easy to check before pulling turbo etc.

instead of gutting the pedistal, could i just by the NON-EBPV pedistal and the NON EBPV outlet?? its just odd like why is there oil on the little rod coming out of the ebpv housing?? it seems like over time like i'm talkin months the leak keeps getting worse?? its soo hard to see actually where it is coming from it sucks

it seems like there is like a lil mist of oil blowing out of somewhere or something covering everything in the area of the turbo, like it looks like the firewall has a slit mist on it, the bottom of the EBPV housing and rod..any idea's?
