Engine block

4.6l, V8, 4x4, 97 F-150...Where is the engine block drain plug located? Does this engine even have a drain plug? I looked but did not see a drain plug.

If you were referring to the anti-freeze drain plug i couldn't find one for the block either so i emptied it from the drain plug on the bottom corner of the radiator.

I was looking to drain the antifreeze from the block but like you could not find a drain plug so I drained what I could from the radiator. What would cause pressure in your cooling system? My top radiator hose stays really hard and when you remove the cap there is excess pressure.

A blown head gasket will cause pressure in the cooling system!
Any other symptoms? Like white smoke or strange smell coming from the exhaust? Oil in the antifreeze or water in the oil?

Been having trouble with engine getting hot. I have changed t-stat, wtr pump, hoses, temp seding unit, cyclinder head temp sensor, radiator, pressure relief cap, and have flushed the radiator. I also did a compression check and leak down test. #7 and #8 cyl were a little weak but within range. I found no leaks. There is no oil in coolant and no discoloration of the oil.

It usually gets hot after driving 7 to 10 miles reguardless of hwy or city. I put a new fan clutch on also. The fan itself is in good shape and the belt is within its specs and working properly. My F-150 has 225k miles. It has been a great truck but I'm starting to think I've come to the end of the road.
