Rear end noise

Getting a howl between about 35-50 mph on moderate accelaration. More prevelent in decel. Hard accel...no noise. Mostly light throttle to decel coast in that speed range. Thinking pinion bearing allowing play in pinion-ring gear mesh? Fluid is good and full...has synthetic 75w-140w.

Thanks ...Jeff

If the noise changes with differences in throttle, then you need new pinion bearings.

That's exactly what it does. Kinda' figured pinion bearings too. Thanks for the confirmation!
