Shocks

Hey guys I need new shocks. What is a decent brand that isn't expensive? Is it worth getting off-road shocks if I don't even off road? I have the four front shocks and two rear. Still looking for a used tailgate driver side latch. I went to the junkyard search and everyone I found was only like 15 bucks less than a new one.

Bilstein is a great brand, don't know how expensive they are there... For inexpensive, you might want to check Pro-comp offers.

I'll second the Bilstein suggestion. I'll have a look at the tailgate shell I have from Greystreak. I don't know how well the latch survived the fire though. If it works and I can get it out of the gate, its yours.

Wow thanks guys!! I am so sick of hitting my tailgate to get the window to go up. Especially with my Buffalo winter coming. I never even heard of Bilstein shocks. Thanks guys I am going to look them up right now!!

Question

Been wanting to go the bilstein route for a while. Does anyone know Bilstein p/ns for the quad front shock setup and the rear two on a Bronco with a 6" lift?

It depends on which Bilstein units you want to use they make quite a few different ones depending upon your budget and needs. This link will take you directly to the Bilstein off-road and lifted truck section of their website. You can look up your truck once you decide which shocks you want to use. While I don't think you can buy directly from Bilstein, you can get the necessary part numbers so you can shop suppliers easily.

Yeah I really want the piggyback 5150s but without doing droop/compression measurements I'm not sure which Bilstein p/n's I want for a 5-6" lifted quad front bronco app.

Part numbers for a 4" lifted BKO is lised in the above FSB thread but I'm trying to find something for a 5-6" lifted truck to get the most downward travel, I wont be jumping much if ever.
