Shocks

Is any one running Donahoe shocks?

I need a new set and looking at their new shocks possibly the remote reservoir shocks since i spend a good bit of time off road.

I would like to get a shock that doesnt rust in a few years like all the other ones I had.

I don't know about the shocks either, but I know what you mean about them starting to rust. I repainted mine with a rattle can not too long ago.

We have extensive experience with these shocks and I believe you will be very happy with this choice. The DR shocks were developed specifically for use on SDs and feature a digressive piston design which provides outstanding ride quality. The shock bodies are silver zinc plated and clear powder coated to insure a long lasting luster. The shocks are also backed by a lifetime warranty. Let me know if you have any more specific questions.

hey Overkill was lookin at the shocks on the website on the pic, was lookin at the duel shock mounting hoop, says that you need to have the DH 6 or 8" leaf spring lift, i have 6" leafs upfront from an unknown company to me there is no sticker or marking on them to tell me what company... was just wonderin if that was true or just a way for them to see more lifts? also is there a way for me to know how big of a shock i will need to replace the ones for the lift should i just measure them and see or is there some chart of sizes this is my first lifted truck and am curious thanks

So the reservoir shocks are worth the money? How is the ride?

They ride good....better than the Bilstein 7100s I ran before. I run duals.

Reservoirs are just for looks unless you beat the snot out of the truck. You can get the same ride out of the mono tube DRs.

Are the mono tube shocks rust resistant also?? And the 200.00 mentioned is that a set or two and where to order tham, at the best price would be appreciated, I need shock too. But my 250 has NO lift and if I do I will only go up to 3 inches or so.

Its about 200 each for the reservoir shocks. the mono tube shocks run around 100. Both have the same coatings. The shocks are made for 3"-6" of lift and 8"-12" of lift so if you get the leveling kit you can use them.
