Need some help in removing the Head-Light Switch on my Truck. It doesen't have the push down button to release the Rod so it can be pulled out.

Thanks for any and all replies.

The first one I pulled out, I cut the **** off with a hacksaw, and figured out how to get it out. It takes a small flatblade screwdriver, and there is a little retangular hole on the underside of the switch. put the screwdrive in the hole, and push towards the firewall, that should release the catch, and then you can pull the **** and rod out. unscrew the dash bezel, and the switch should come out. they can be kinda hard to remove sometimes. Hopw this helps.

Howdy

Now I know what you mean by cutting the **** off, what a hell of a job it is to get that out.
I didn't cut it, nor did I take out the switch. I found the problem to be a badly coroded butt connector on the under side of the bed, and another just ahead of the brake light wire to the switch.
So all is well now and back to normal, and a new body harness is on its way to me.
I did how ever cut the top of my wrist trying to get that small screw driver in the small hole, to release the switch rod.
Thanks again for your reply sure was appreciated.
