I just ordered a Truetrac with carrier bearings, shims, and cover gasket. It all came together as a kit. I should have it next week and will hopefully be installing it over my Thanksgiving vacation. I may be able to finally harness some of that extra power I have since my latest major mods.
Who in their right mind would put an open carrier differential in the rear of a 4x4 truck?
Cool deal Roland. I hope this all works out for you. Have you tried a boosted 4X4 launch with what you have now? I guess we will find out this weekend if you have a problem with the way it is now.

Matter of fact, I did. I don't think it tried to spin, but it felt like a tire might of slipped a bit. I didn't launch it over 10# and took it up to ~70-80 mph. It did seem to get there pretty quick.

Eaton makes some awesome lockers. Didnt detroit and true-trac use to be Intrax? I bought mine so long ago I doubt I can find the paperwork on it, but I did see it a year ago and thought it was intrax back 10 years ago.
I have a true-trac in the d44 front of my 76ford and I have not been able to break it with 40" tires and a 460. I have broken everything else on the truck other then the np205 transfer case, but the truetrack front diff and the detroit rear has been rock solid.
Im very pleased you went with the helical and not a clutch type.
