Hey Guys this is my first time ever posting a thread on a forum and I'm not sure how everything works but here goes.
I just had the 390 in my 74 F250 rebuilt. During the rebuild process I swapped the 2 barrel carb and intake for a 4 barrel. I went with the Edelbrock performer intake and carb parts number 2105 and 1405. I also purchased the carburetor linkage adapter part number 1483.
I put the carb on with the linkage adaptor attached and tried to connect the passing gear rod and the throttle rod and there is no space between them like there was on the 2 barrel carb. They grind together and are not working. I'm not sure if I put the throttle rod on the right spot or not or if this carburetor is going to work
If anyone has done this same procedure to their truck or has any experience with this sort of thing I would greatly appreciate any advice.
