Removing Bed - undercoating
Hey guys just seeing if any of you have done this before.
I want to remove my bed to undercoat and paint up the frame before winter season.
Ive done a little research and looks like i need torx "sockets" for my impact driver. if these bolts are pretty well rusted on there should i replace them with OEM bolts of will any rust proof ones work?
just looking for some input on what you guys have done/tried.

No need to replace them. Just add a small amount of antiseize to them when reinstalled. I've been spraying bed liners for awhile and never had any back out. Just becareful not to strip the heads when breaking free the bolts. Back off the pressure on your air gun otherwise you will either snap the torx bit or bugger up the head of the bolt.

I did my frame with undercoat when i installed my 08 bed, we used a spray gun that goes on the undercoat can. The gun has a name but i cant remember it...same one is used for undercoat. All i know is it def went on better than the rattle cans do.
