Water from the SKY!!.....It was the most shocking event. Has anyone else ever seen this? I hear stories from the old people sometimes about it but I'd never seen it personally, until today that is. For about 15 minutes water fell from the sky like a pipe sprung a leak up there. The dust settled for 20 minutes, the temperture fell to about 105 degrees, it was amazing.
Shoot, same thing happened here in College Station. However, the water was persistent...been rainin since like 6am or so...still rainin as I type (5pm).
Yeah, our 1/2 million dollar roof (that wasn't supposed to) didn't leak. It only sifted the large drops of rain from the small drops.
We actually had water running out the bay doors of the plant!
Hey,
I've discovered that this stuff is called "rain"....like "pain". There's info on it in those things called books. Now, ya'll in Bryan/College Station need to quit hogging the stuff and send it this way.
Everyone in unision, turn Northeast and blow with all your might......come on.......do it......
Ahh, a lot of our former employess used to work at that place. They would get fired by my dad and then apply at alenco. We used to own the Western Sizzlin Steak House in Bryan. (Now Barnhills...:-(
I live in Leon Springs... I don't want to talk about water from the sky for awhile... I had 44" of it in 10 days in July

Just wanted to say thanks to all you people who blew. Got enough rain today that the paint on my truck reappeared from under the dirt and dust. Nacogdoches thanks you.
Rain? That's amazing I didn't think it occurred past Dallas. I don't even keep the wipers on my truck they stay under the seat where the sun won't crack them. Some day they will see the light of day again, or better yet lightning.
I created quite a stir up here in Alpine today. I stepped out of the house and felt a drop of moisture hit my arm. I jumped into the ole pea cup and headed up the hill to the Sul Ross biology Dept. to have the spot analyzed. Turned out to be buzzard P.
