Do you guys think the SS rocker panels are worth the money? I always thought they'd look good on our rigs.

i like the look but figure they would hold water behind the adhesive

I've never thought about that. I wonder if there's a way you could apply adhesive evenly so this would not happen?

I've talked to a couple auto body guys and they all said the stainless rockers hold water and like to cause a bit of rusting. I thought maybe putting on some POR 15 or other rust preventative would help but idk.

Is there anyway to prevent moisture from behind the SS rocker panels? What applying some anti-rust material and then the adhesive?

i suppose as long as you used a good adhesive, but i dont think it would ever be perfect. typicly they come with the double sided 3m tape foam stuff

i did this earlier this summer to my truck and still holding up great, i like the look of it as well. very happy with the results.
also i figure if in a year or two if it has any fading or chipping its easy enough to mask it back off and re spray it.
