Greetings ,
Last night I preformed a few mods with a greater then expected outcome . I started with powerstrokehelp.com's fuel bowl parts delete and banjo fitting enlargement mods . Then I found an International dealer who ordered me the correct camshaft sensor . I wish a had a benchmark what did what but I don't . All I know is that it smoothed out the idle , ran queiter , faster , and trans shifted much smoother . Well worth the 2 hours of labor . If you have any questions , you know the drill
Welcome to FTE. Don't waste any more of your time listening to that hammer head. What he didn't tell you about are the ORB fittings that have an orifice in them BEFORE the bolts you drilled out. Plus, there are four holes in those bolts that when you do the math works out to be larger than the line feeding them! The stock fuel systems supports upwards of 500 rwhp -- there are much bigger fish to fry that those mods.
That said, glad you found your way here. Dig around and you'll see how most folks feel about that dufus. LOL
Welcome to FTE, Joe hit the nail on the head, drop that fella from your favorites list and put FTE on it, you won't be sorry, plus were cool here, we'll never steer yaa wrong..Was it a black CPS?? If it was, your in real good shape, their the best..
Welcome airassaultinfantry1 (long name!) to FTE!
These guys are right about the powerstroke guy. Tell us about your truck, what you've done so far, and what you want to do. We are quite experienced at helping others spend their money! Seriously, there is a lot of help waiting on here to help you out. BTW, where are you located?
FTE folks do have a ton of knowledge, but I'm gonna have to defend old Bill for a sec. He does help newbs get their head around stuff better than any other source - you gotta start somewhere. Also - he does the work on my truck I can't and he does a damn good job for a reasonable price. That said, FTE and the folks here have an invaluable trove of knowledge and an exceptional spirit. Welcome to FTE.
He's in the White Marsh are of MD. I haven't met him yet but we chatted on the phone today. Real nice guy! He will be great to have around here! Tomorrow we might meet up for him to take my extra 6.0 intercooler boots off of me. He's got one heck of a bumper on his rig apparently; took a shot from a semi and barely scratched it!! I'll have to remember to take my camera & get a pic to share (if he doesn't object that is)
Good. Get him around other PSD owners to give him a hand and advice on his truck! I'd like to see the bumper too. My 97 has a MUCH better bumper than my 02. The factory super duty bumpers are sheet metal. At least mine is.
Thank you all for the overwhelming response as well as the genuine sincerety . I have been @ the d-stop but have decided to come here a lot more often . I will update my profile and thank you all agian .
First off , Thank you for your service to our country . I Thank everyone here @ FTE . I was with the 75 as a foward observer then with the 29 as a tow gunner . As for the air assult , I was lucky and got a slot . Over 190 troops on zero day and only 32 of us made it . And yes what kind of a grunt doesnt get blood wings ? high speed , low drag , twisted steel and sex appeal, THAT'S WHAT I AM !!!! houa
