Question Couple concernig questions?

I have a 2005 Ex with the 6.0. I have had tons of problems with. That think I had it in for was an oil leak. They had to take the whole body off to pull the motor out to fix it. Ever sense then I have been having problems. Water leak somewhere on the drivers side under the hood. When I got it back the steering wheel was of center to the left. The ford dealer tried fixing it by realining but know its off to the right and i have a lot of steering play and the truck wonders. I also hear a clunk when I hit a bump in the front. So I took it to my dads shop last week and pick it up in the air and checked all the ball joints and steering linkage. All seems find except there is shaft play in the gear box. Is this common or a bad gear back? I also want to men chin that I also put 20" rims and tires on at about the same time. Could this cause a possible the problem? I noticed to that its leaking oil again from the drivers side head. Don't know what there going to do know with it. I'm going to try and push for a new motor. This is like the 4th or 5th time for an oi leak and the truck just turn 60,000 miles this week. I'm having a problem to with power. When I pulled my camper last Friday it won't shift into over drive and when it would it couldn't maintain speed. We drove 90% of the way up north in 3 gear because it wouldn't shift into over drive. I have never had this problem pulling my camper before. I was wondering if the turbo was bad? They replaced the first one at 16,000 miles. When I had it in last the tech tolled me that there was shaft play in the turbine wheel and that it was starting to go bad. Is there a way to test if its good or bad? I also have no power on start up first thing in the morning. Pedal all the way to the floor and nothing. Ideals really rough and sometimes doesn't start on first time. Could this be a bad injector? The ford dealer told me that there was nothing that they could do if it goes away after five minutes. This thing is really starting to make me mad. Thanks much for your help

Complain to Ford - you have had a terrible dealership.

At least they are doing something besides burying their head in the sand.

this is one of the many reasons im totally against body removal to r/r and engine. that is not a ford approved way to repair the truck either. the heads are easy enugh to do in frame. we do it all the time

I know I walked into the Dealership by me...they're the regional big truck repair for the area. They were working on the head with the engine still in the mounts and the body still on the frame? Why do they lift the body...just for convenience and ease of work space?

My dealer did the bedplate leak with the body on 2 years ago and it's still good. Knock on wood.

Some techs have gotten to the point that they can lift the cab very quickly. You guessed it - once done, it is definitely easier to get to everything and to torque the bolts.

some techs just like to be lazy. its not faster. its just a little bit easer on the back to stand up.

for me I have a bfr that I use to twist the bolts. Besides have you ever tried to lift the cab on a bucket or micu?

Saw the truck to day. They decided not to take the body off this time. Here are a couple pics.
