Exhaust Leak

Well from time to time I have smelled exhaust in the cab. Well today as I climb under the truck to diagnose my transfer case to skit plate banging I notice that there is exhaust coming from around the flanges. There is light black by the flanges on the heads. Do these manifolds have gaskets???? It does not appear that they do. I need to pull the manifolds off so that I can seal them up. You thoughts are appreciated.

They do not come from the factory with gaskets and Ford does sale gaskets for them.

Next question is how much of a pain is it to swap the gaskets? It did not look bad but I know looks are sometimes deceiving

I personally have not had to do them but a few others here and on other sites have stated that they were able to change them thru the wheel wells.

LOL, I spend a lot of time in my truck and half burnt diesel fuel smell burns the eyes. It looks like I can get it done from under the truck. I will have to look closer.
