Well from time to time I have smelled exhaust in the cab. Well today as I climb under the truck to diagnose my transfer case to skit plate banging I notice that there is exhaust coming from around the flanges. There is light black by the flanges on the heads. Do these manifolds have gaskets???? It does not appear that they do. I need to pull the manifolds off so that I can seal them up. You thoughts are appreciated.
huh? my cab alway smells like diesel... I so love that smell
LOL, I spend a lot of time in my truck and half burnt diesel fuel smell burns the eyes. It looks like I can get it done from under the truck. I will have to look closer.
the real awnser is you can remove the bolts that hold the manifod to the head and loosen the Y-pipe bolts to the exhaust manifold and slide gaskets in. just do 1 side at a time.
also yes you will have to do some work from the inner fender well. pop those out first and you will see its not so bad.
