My friend has his website back on line now. It appears that the tailgate ladder had a lot of interest at SEMA.

I did something today that made me feel about as stupid as I could be. I'm sure I'm not the only one but it sure feels that way.
I took the dog (Kermit) for a run. I took my day runner & set it on top of the Blazer to load him. Then drove off with it on the top. I got back home & about 10 minutes passed & I realized I was missing my day runner. So I started re tracking my route, Nothing. So I got Vici & we started looking together. I walked the highway looking on the side of the road & asking people if they might of seen it. Finally a guy said, he saw it in the road & some guys in a truck stopped & picked it up. So we call the Sheriff's Dept to report it gone. Here is why I feel so stupid. Inside my day runner was my drivers license, social security card, insurance cards, debit card, credit card, only about $30 cash, thank God, because there are times I have several hundred in it. Just about every piece of ID I have. So when the Sheriff showed up we came home & he had me fill out a report, had us call the banks to block cards. In the morning I have to go to DMV, the banks, Vici will call social security. We also called the credit reporting agencies to get a fraud alert put on my credit. What a mess. So who knows what will be the outcome from this. But I know I can't do anything about it except do what I have done. Sometimes I think if I didn't have bad luck I would have any.
This year has been a tough one for us also. But in a different way. Vici has another year on her contract so income should be OK for now. Her dept is funded mostly by Federal Money. Special Ed is in the best shape of any departments in most school districts in Nevada. Where Vici is they have plenty of money for now. We have prepared for we hope the worst. We have put away food & money & have been paying off debit. But for us the tough times have been first I almost died from a burst appendix & spent 8 days in the hospital, then Vici gets the infection in her leg & spends 4 days in the hospital, then this happens. But in tough times I have to count our blessings. We are both alive & doing much better. Vici has a job for now, we have little debit, we have a church family, along with friends. most of all we have God & all the things we need, plus some wants, a roof over our heads, food to eat.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to 2010. As the years winds down I always look forward to the next year & the things it will bring. Some good & some not so good. Nobody said life would be easy. But it sure is real.

all my plans are shot for today! I am putting brakes on a 2550 john deere and everything they sent me is wrong, well except the o rings. I was up and going at 5:30 this morning so I could get it done since I have a piggy back fork lift in for hydraulic seals, 96 f150 for a clutch slave cylinder and a clark 8000lb fork lift for an engine rebuild. (no one can seem to find the parts for this, they say the build / serial number doesn't match anything they have)
I figured I would work on the brakes until it was late enough to order parts for the other stuff.
