I left 9 am on Friday and arrived about noon on Sunday...lost a lot of time due to rain, and more to construction...plus i stopped every 90 miles or so to stretch my legs and walk Lana...it was no speed record...
only thing is, I needed to move to get my disability approved...but its approved!! monthly checks!!
Glad to hear you made it safe Mark. I agree sounds pretty fast to me to. I remember years ago a lady friend & I left Hawthorne NV 311 miles north of Las Vegas & drove all but about 7 hours in which we stopped in Gallop NM. & we arrived at around 7pm the following day in Austin TX. She drove through Arizona no slower than about 85 mph on I-40. I stayed around 70-75 mph on my legs. So that is about day & half. How did you get disability that quick? Just curious why did you have to move to get it?
Looks good Bill.

it has been almost 8 months...it doesnt seem quick...it is disability thru work, not social security...I still get to play all their games!!
I didnt have to move to get it...I was being sarcastic...it was just a coincidence they finally got all the paperwork.
so my day has been fun..anyone that has a loved one with alzheimers, I really feel for you.
after helping my dad change my moms diaper, we got her out of bed and almost into the wheel chair, then we spent the next hour trying to get her the rest of the way in the wheelchair.
She is not a small woman and she has to help us move her or she will be completely bed ridden.
We got her in finally, got her coffee and breakfast and now we are trying to get her back in bed (she wants to lay down her knee hurts) but she is fighting us...
everytime we move her she screams we are hurting her.
and she is calling us names one minute and saying she loves us the next.
isnt growing old great?
once she is in bed I can take the dog to the park, start a new bank account and get a good map of the city!
Sorry to hear about you Mom's condition Mark, My Grandma was the same way with the name calling and fighting the people trying to help her. It got so bad my mom had to find a nursing home for her.
I am glad you are there to help you dad, Family is #1 in my book.
she was in a nursing home...my dad thinks they were overmedicating her to keep her socialable..then a month or so ago she stopped eating and drinking and we thought she was done for then...but she is doing better at home with hospice care.
