Mac Perceptor Elite Scan Tool
Guys, I'm searching for a decently priced tool. That will do all the diag tests on the fords, and allows full obd 1,2 and other odds and ends. I've looked at the Mac Taskmaster, the OTC stuff (i sell it at work, just can;t afford it
) I've stumbled upon the Perceptor Elite 2005, anybody with any experience with one? the Mac site is pretty vague on what it does.

on after market scan tool will be as good as the one ford uses.the mac and matco are the otc. same programes spx (otc) sells ti to mac and matco so just find the cheepest one.just remember that it will not do it all.

The snapon solus is preety good for what your looking for its dose alot more then the otc.but its more money if you just want to get codes and data you can get one from the auto parts store just make sure it has diesel insight.the one I use at home is made by actron it was 60.00 at autozone about a year ago

I know that OTC makes just about all of em for everybody else, Im just wondering if anyone knows the full capabilities of the percepter Elite.
I can get one from the AutoParts Store, I work there 40hrs a week. I've found what seems to be a great deal on the Mac 2005 Perceptor,,,, 300$ and wondering if does the KOER KOEO tests.

This may be a bad question but will an Equus 3120 work? I am not sure where to check if it will

Funny.... I'm looking at the same one. You would think Mac would do a little better at putting out the info on it. I guess they like keeping it a secret.
