I've got a '53 F100 w/ stock 215 six. I just received upper and lower molded radiator hoses from Mac's. I had to trim the lengths of the upper a little bit, and it looks and fits great. But, there is no way that the lower hose I got can be adapted. The length of the middle section is three inches too long. Mac's insists that they sent the right part. It is a Continental Elite #60113. They suggested that I take the hose to local parts vendors and use it to find something sitting on a shelf or collecting dust in a back room that is similar except three inches shorter. Does anyone have the original part number for this hose? Has anyone had good luck finding one? I have found a Gates hose #20145 that (from actual photos of it on Ebay) appears to be the right one. Anyone familiear with that Gates number?

A quick follow-up. As I mentioned, the lower radiator hose I git from Mac's Auto Parts was a Continental #60113. Continental and Mac's say that this is the hose for a 53 f100 with a 215 six. I have no reason to believe that my engine and radiator are not completely stock for 1953. There was absolutely no way that this hose could fit; it was almost three inches to long in the middle. I ordered a Gates hose #20145. Gates says it is the hose for my make, model and year. It fits fine. I had to cut a little off the ends, but the middle section is the right length.
PHP Code:
stock
P.S. I put the PHP tags around the word stock to see if this is the right tool for setting a "tag" that filters posts in an advanced search. I have no idea whether or not this is the right tool.
