I have an 02 f250 7.3 with 4" turbo back, intake, turbonetics turbo, DP tuner and I'm seeing 28 ponds boost max. No big difference with 80hp or 140 hp. I just put stage 1 injectors in and have the same amount of boost and not enough power. We put a hypermax turbo on and it went to around 34 but still am not happy. Experiencing high egts. The guy who put it on has the exact truck with stock injectors and hypermax and gets 40 pnds. boost. What is the problem? He said the intercooler boots were saturated with oil when changing everything. Any suggestions? Maybe problem with the intercooler? HELP!!

Have you checked your up-pipes? Any thoughts to replacing stock boots? Have you checked your plenums to make sure they are still sealing? Just thoughts...
IMO, 28psi is a tad low but not a ton. 40psi on your buddies truck seems unusually high.

34 lbs sounds pretty good for a set of stage I's No offence but in order for me to believe 40 lbs with stock injectors is to see it myself. Most guys are happy to see 40 lbs with hybrid injectors.
As Clay mentioned I would be looking at your up-pipes or intercooler plumbing if you really think you have a issue. My guess is those numbers are about right for stage I's

What ^^^he^^^ said. I'm running 235cc hybrids and getting 35psi. I'd have to see it myself. Even so, all that boost isn't doing much with no fuel.
