No Boost gauge reading

No Boost gauge reading

I have an 6.9 Banks turbo with intercooler, and i put the boost sending unit on the original place that banks has it, but i have no reading at all, is it because i have an intercooler??? no idea

sounds like you may have a kink in the tubing going to the gauge.

you also will only see boost while under load.

sitting in the driveway and reving the engine in neutral will produce no or very little boost.

Ive been driving my truck for a month now with no reading, i probably have a kink on the sending unit, i will check that out, and also am i loosing boost psi by using an intercooler???

From what I have heard, an intercooler will cause you to lose a few psi but you should still have some kind of reading. I would check out the guage tubing and your intercooler tubing as well. It's amazing how much boost you can lose from a leak. I had a small exhaust leak that cost me 3psi.
