Another tranny question

hey guys i was just reading up on the torqshift in the tech folder and seen that the gear ratios for 1,2,3 were different on the 03,04 trannys then the 05-07 trannys.Why is that? The reason i ask is i blew a tranny a long time ago and put one out of an 07 F-350 in. should i have changed the tranny computer to im just wondering if im hurting anything doing this

The final drive ratio is the same so it should not make a difference.

The ratio changes were so small that the computer won't care.

The chnages were made to make the gears stronger.
