2003 Explorer '4X4 HIGH' light blinking

2003 Explorer '4X4 HIGH' light blinking
I have a 2003 Explorer XLT w/o traction control. The '4X4 HIGH' light has blinking on the dash. My Ford dealer did a diagnostic check and told me I had 4X4 module failure. I replaced the module (twice!) with a brand new one from a Ford dealer, but the light is still blinking. I have also disconnected the battery cable, thinking it might reset the computer, but to no avail. Any ideas??
