I would ck. for air in the system 1st and then possibly a slide pin hanging up.

The speed bleeders work great...when you remove the oem completely, the brake fluid will Not gush out...you have ample time to seat the new bleeder valve...then just crack it open a bit....bleed them without the need to worry about air vacuuming back into the line when you let up on the brake pedal....gotta love it.
