I'm pretty sure they did on the 73-77.5's (highboys) but can't say with 100% certainty, i don't believe they're that common though and they seemed to always be paired with an automatic transmission and they'll have a T-case strut attached to them.
Ya I've got one in my 76 highboy. Been converted to part time though. I re-built it last winter with a new chain and it works good. Matches everything montana highboy said. Oh yeah, thats a heavy ba$tard too.

They always were! Ford never offered a manual with the NP203. No ifs/buts.
thanks for info and the picture guys. I think this is what I will need to make a doubler without marrying my 205 to the tranny. Just have to shorten the intermediate shaft a bit.
hey i need to find a chain i pulled the both rear covers off mine and can see that the chain is really loose and has M*M stamped on the links should i go with another mile marker chain or does it matter all the other gears and bearings look top notch
