Pump bolt is giving me trouble.
Theres a thing coming up out of the waterpump thats right in the way.
I got on the bolt once but it was very tight and I couldnt loosen it.
Im looking for a diffrent setup now. (socket , etc.)
You need to remove that sensor that's in the way (I think it's called the exhaust back pressure sensor). You'll need a socket on a breaker bar, plus you'll need some way to keep the engine from turning over. I have an auto tranny, so when I did mine, I put a wrench on the fan pulley and stepped down on the accessory drive belt to keep it from slipping. I felt like a contortionist, but it worked, since I didn't have a big enough socket to go on the main crank.
Got it out!
The gasket is a steel one should I replace it?
And how about the gasket where the tank splits?
Should i put the IPR in before I reinstall the pump?
Yes, Ford should have it. It is such a pain to replace that, It is best to just swap it out while you are there.
Don't worry about the HPOP reservoir Oring/gasket, it is real low pressure there and is easy to get to...
If you are installing a new HPOP I would stick a new IPR in there and keep your old one as a spare.
Done , Done and done.........................
Im up to the part of trying to figure out where all the new o-rings I have go?
Its a whole kit from Guzzles?
There is a bunch of them. Definitely all the HPOP lines should be done. I kept the ok looking ones in the glovebox just in case... I am sure there are a few for the fuel bowl as well.

Guzzle usually sends a sheet that shows what each o-ring is for as well as labels on each pakage of o-rings.
I wish I would've done all of mine when I had it out. BUT, the leak started Sunday from the non-serviceable plug, and I had to have it back together by Tuesday morning for a meeting 200 miles away. All I was able to replace was the O-ring on the offending plug. I'm thinking of getting a complete O-ring set for the HPOP lines, fuel bowl, and HPOP and having at it. I'm seeing a wee bit of oil on the big snap-ring plug on the back of the HPOP. It'll be a matter of time before I have another leak to fix there, I'm sure.
Not whipped yet but Im beating on it ........
I keep getting sidetracked but its on its way back together.
Tonight I find I dont have silicone for the plate that goes over the gear nut. So tomorrow .
Another stopper has popped up?
The 2 springs that go in the lines going to the HPOP.
One of them has a solid end?
Which way do they go and which one goes where?
