hi guys,
it's the front axle. I just teared everthing appart. The problem was the needle bearings. it cost me 6 buck each and took me 2 hours in my garage to change them. No special tools. Napa number B-2110 (best), or BA-2110. I'll post some pics in a few days.

Arrerio,
Did you really disassemble the hub unit??? From everything i've read, its not a servicable part. I also heard the the hub is spring loaded and if one is to disassemble it, all all hell woud bust loose in your face.
Looking at your photos again, did you just punch out the old bearings and press in the new ones? If so good idea.

Hi 79 Bronc,
Yes, y just hammered out the needle bearing. I used a long piece of tube from the opposite part of the spindle. Hammered a couple of times until it got out. Then just press the new needle bearing in. The spindle bearing unit is not serviceable, but you can change the needle bearing.

That is awsome. I'm on my second set of hubs. The first set lasted may be 40k miles. I'm running 38" tires and that eats them bearings up. I'm surprised no one else has talked about poppin out the old needle bearings. Again Awsome, I'm going to replace mine to night. I'll post a follow up with bearing numbers for other guys. I'm running a 2003 f350 srw 4x4 with abs.

Thanks for the reply.
I have the same truck, same year, running tires not so big, just 285/75r16 Trxus MT in OEM rims and planning to move to same size, KMZ2 but R17 in a 10 inch rim.
I live really far away from the states, so every spare is really expensive, so we get creative, without compromising safety. That´s why I just changed the needle bearings.
Just as an example: a spare that costs 200 bucks in the states, I have to pay 450 bucks approx. in Chile....
