So what years had a spare holder in the box/bed?
I was just looking at my old 76 and its got the tire holder inside the back of the box on the drivers side.
(Im not talking about a SCS tire holder Im talking regular long wheelbase pickup.)
Most pickups used to have that setup but Ive had a few 70's pickups and this is the first one Ive seen for awhile.
The side mounted spare tire carrier was available on any 1961/79 F100/350 with a styleside box.
Including the 1973/79 140" wheelbase Trailer Special's...if someone wanted to carry an extra spare.
These are usually mounted ahead of the rear wheel...on the driver or passenger side. Or at the front of the bed.
How about posting the pic, then I will type the part numbers, see if anyone has anything.
The pic sez F250...but the parts will fit most anything.
Illustration Section 10, Page 17 - lower pic.
btw: This optional spare tire carrier fits INSIDE the bed. It is not the same as the type that fits inside the right quarter panel behind a door on Camper/Trailer Specials.
There's not much to it...as y'all will plainly see.
Mounts inside the Styleside Bed / Use on Passenger or Driver's side, or at the front of the bed.
Fits: 1973/79 Styleside Pickups.

No other Ford Dealer, no obsolete parts vendor has any. -------------------------------------------------------- 1957/72: There are two similar brackets, these are not the same as 1973/79, as they are shorter.
It's not a Super Camper Special w/ the extended wheelbase & funky bed set-up....it's just a regular Camper Special w/ the bracket shown above in the bed.
I WISH it was a SCS.....I wouldn't be scrapping it then.
I have one that work for all trucks, it's called rope. Or you just leave the spare at home, I have 3 spares and plus I don't have to worry about them going missing.
