4x4 problem
I got in my 2006 lincoln tonite to pull 2 bishes out of the yard. I went to put it in 4 low and nothing happened would not go in 4 hi either had trany in neutral foot on brake?? when I start it up the lights for 4x4 light up so I no they are not burnt out any ideas ?? had it in 4lo about 2 months ago to pull trailrer out of field and it worked fine then!!

take a small hammer and lightly tap on the t-case shift motor.
the t-case motor gets corrosion in it and "freezes". the hammer tapping will loosen up the frozen parts/pieces.
not a lasting correction unfortunately. it will work for a while, but eventually the corrosion will be too bad and you'll have to replace that motor
