I'm running Hankook DynaPro ATm's right now. They can be had in 285/75R16 E-rated or the stock 265 size in E. Here's what I did:
I went to a Discount Tire store (there's one in Granbury, TX FYI) and asked them if I could have them shipped from Discount Tire Direct to their location for installation. Well they had them in stock, and matched the online price, but charged me $20 for install each instead of the $15 normally.
In-store pricing (tax & everything) was about $870. I walked out paying just under $640. They will likely do the same for you. HERE is the 285 DynaPro for $182 from their wholesale website.
These tires gripped great in snow, look great, and are quiet.

Brendan...Thanks for your time and info.I will check on them.
I'll second the Hankooks. I have a set of dynapros on my X. They are wearing great and winter traction is awesome. I am going to get a set for my pickup next month. The set on my X was $145/tire installed. I am waiting on a current price, but I am assuming it has gone up over the last 2yrs.
