Tires

:- I finally sold my old truck and now I have CASH! I have the stock Pirelli tires on my truck. They are good for the high way, but I am looking for a tire that will work a little better for snow, wet grass and may be sand. I am not looking for supper dirt ripping tires but good all around high way and a little off road with the same load rating and LT265/75r16 size. Thanks Bill

Wet grass; let you in on a secret, the golf courses really get mad when you do donuts on their watered lawns

There are a couple of Michelins the same size that have good aggressive but good on the road.

Look close, some D rated tires have the same load capacities as E rated, or are very close.

The closet I have found is 380lbs, the reason I want "E" is the sidewall loading.
My trailer is big and the lack of duelies, really places a tremendous side load on the tire in any kind of cross wind. Something I have experienced every time I hook up........ug.............really dislike wind. The load rating is not as much concern as the sidewall design. This I have researched and made calls on, hope I have been told the truth

Bridgestone Duler Revo's come in that size in E rating, look great on the truck. They also have a high D rated tire which I have found in 285/70/16. Hope it helps

Golf course. I got a good laugh out of that one. One of our close get away camping places is Dillon Beach. Open grassy fields with sand pits. Got stuck a couple of times with my old 2whl drive truck. It was fun watching some one try and pull the honey wagon out. I agree with Tim on the side wall rating. Also too wide might rube on the frame on tight turns. I will look into the Michelins. What do I ask for as far as make?

TireTrack rated the bridgstone revo the best overall - I got a set and love'em. Hands down the best. Best part is they come with a white-letter and a class E rating

75/265.

I've got a buddy that has a the same tire on a 7.3 01 PSD. Very sharp! A little bigger then I wanted for all the pulling I do. The other popular tire is BF-goodies. MOP is they don't hold up as well and you can only get a D rated tire.

Wow, I read that thread. What about bridgestone? We run bridgestones on our step vans in our fleet and they hold up well. I know about the bad press.
