I have a F350 Supercrew Longbed with the 6.0L PSD in it. It has the towing package custon exhaust, and im running an Edge Attitude aftermarket power adder. Starting yesterday my truck all the sudden started running really rough, making the entire truck vibrate, it was shortly after i had filled up the tank, at a station that ive used many times before with no problems. Ive changed both fuel filters and the air filter, and still it runs really rough through all gears. It sounds like a gas engine when its dragging a cylinder.
Ive started to go through the forums to see if anyone else has had a similar issue and to find possible causes/solutions. Still nothing yet so i thought id ask.
#1 what's your fuel pressure.
#2 If it did this before you changed the filters, it could be a hung egr valve.
#3 you could have a chafed wire or bad injector.
Have the truck scanned, see if there are any DTC's. Oh, welcome to FTE
1. I dont have a fuel pressure gauge
2. Thats the reson why i changed them, and how would i check the EGR?
3. For the wires just trace them and check them as best as i can? and how would i check the injectors?
i have already plugged in a code reader and im not pulling any codes at all?
I am working on a very limited budget due to the low pay of the Marines, But i do have access to a fully fitted Auto shop, so i should be able to check most of the stuff there
