Experience with RodDoors.com?

Hi,

I have a 48 F1 and was impressed with RodDoors.com catalog. I am getting ready to do the interior and I am looking at headliners, door panels, etc from Roddoors and would like to know if anyone has comments; good or bad, about their products--especially for the 48 F1.

Prices?
Reliability?
Shipping?
Timliness?

But, FIT is the most pressing question I have.

I would really appreciate opinions.

TIA,

Bob

Sorry, but I don’t have any personal experience,……………..Yet!, ...but I intend to buy them. The good news, although expensive, I have heard nothing bad .............and do they ever look good!

Please keep us posted?

Here is a search link and I remember something about Velcro door panel tabs not being so good.

Bought the full headliner kit. Fits great, looks good. I left mine uncovered and wiped it down with Armor All to give it a little shine. I was going to have it covered but everybody that sees my interior says leave it alone. Their prices are a little higher than the cardboard kit but worth it. I did not use the velco fasteners with the kit. I went to hardware store and got some black interior screws. I will try to add a picture to my gallery later. Fast shipping.

I havn't bought anything from them either but I have talked to their reps at a couple of diffrent car shows and they seem very smart and VERY willing to help. They seem like good folks.

I have their headliner in my 53. Excellent quality. Very difficult install. That was 5 years ago. I understand they have made some of their stuff easier to install. Their products fit well, can be covered with upholstery, and look show quality.

I have the complete roddoors interior kit for my 48 but have not installed it yet. I will be asking Garry for pointers when I get ready to install. He doesn't know it yet though.

Hey Bob, the gallery of my 50 F1 has 2 or 3 pics of the interior using all the RodDoors panels and headliner if interested. Like others have said, it's a little pricey, and takes a bit of trimming and fitting to work with. But I've been really happy with the result.

I used the rod doors headliner, and made my own door and kick panels - but they are the same material and style as the rod doors ones.

You can read my thoughts on it here:
https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...headliner.html

Pictures of my interior are stored in my galleries.
