Hi everyone! I'm new to these forums, new to these trucks, new to anything more than an oil change, and a new Ford truck convert!
Here she is: 79 F150 4WD with a 351M (at least, that's what I was told)
I plan on using it as my daily driver, but also having fun repairing/restoring it. I am really excited about the opportunities! I've been wanting to do this for years.
I've had it for just over a week, and I already made use of many pieces of wisdom from you all: I put in a new Edelbrock carburetor, new master brake cylinder, and new plugs and wires. There are a few things to be taken care of in the short term: brakes still aren't perfect, the fuel tank valve may not work, I desperately need new tires, there is a wicked "death wobble" at 40+mph, and I need mirrors and front and rear windows replaced/repaired.
Sometime soon I'll get some pics up of the interior. It might make you cry. Well, maybe not.. but my wife will not yet ride in it, and my co-worker said something about needing a tetanus shot after going for a spin
first off welcome physicsguy11 to FTE.com and too the dentside (73-79) area
and second, nice truck, looks like you got a nice foundation for your truck, it has lots of potential for sure, and don't worry people will not wanting ride around in it right now, but once you finish it, just about everyone will want to go for a ride in it!

yet another friendly welcome to the WONDERFUL WORLD OF DENTSIDES!! nice to have another convert join the ranks! i might point out: brakes are, well, out of the seventies... not exactly great. lol. but these trucks are common and replacement parts are a dime a dozen, so gettin your new baby in top form should be a walk in the park! especially with the expertise the traverse the sector of this world wide web.
