So bum deal, I had my truck broken into last week, they got my stereo, amp, and about $2000 worth of tools from me. They also decided it was a good idea to take my superchips tuner as well. I had it under my seat because I had just gotten back from a long trip towing my fifth wheel and wanted it with me to reprogram from performance to towing. Dumb move on their part seeing as how it is VIN locked to my truck and virtualy unusable to anyone else. My question is, I'm going to get another one, but my truck is already programmed for tow right now. How do I get it back to stock so that when I get the new programmer I will have a factory program stored? Any help or suggestions?

I believe if you disconnect the battery (batteries) for a few minutes, the stock program will show up again when you connect power again.
I don't think that works. I have disconnected my batteries before, for replacement and for stereo install. When I hook them back up my tuner would always still read that the performance tuning was installed.
You'll need to talk to SC and it probably wouldn't be a bad idea to report the theft so they could record that tuner as stolen. It only takes about $100 to unlock a locked tuner and maybe if you report it that would at least stop them from doing that. Ford could get a stock tune put in the truck but it may cost you some $$$.
You will need to have the ECM flashed to stock. That means a trip to the dealer. My 1715 tuner stays in the house unless I'm using it to read codes or change the programming.
you will need to have the truck reflashed. might tell the dealer you want to get the latest flash then play dumb. probably cost you less that a hundred bucks. another solution is talk to innnovative or another site sponsor. i know for a sct tuner they can pull some things off when a situation happens like yours
Wow, that is a bummer. I think that as long as you connected your tuner to their update site with the stock tune in it, then SC should be able to put your tune on a new tuner. I would give them a call.
I had something similar happen. Except it wasn't stolen but got ran over.I had no other choice but to take to the dealer. Cost me 85 bucks but sure did the trick. Now I have another SC and this one dosnt get close to them round things...
....... got ran over........ and this one dosnt get close to them round things...
Dare we ask ?!?!?
Personally,
I take the other tack....
I keep my tuner in the console at all times in case I need it while on the road.....
6 of one, half-dozen of the other, ya know
