I don't know how many of you already know this but now that I've found it I thought I'd let yall in on the best glass cleaning I've seen. I got this from a detailer at a dealership, it wasn't just something I thought up. Be sure to wash all the glass normally to get rid of the excess dirt. First off use some extra fine steel wool and rubbing compound and go over all your windows (NOT the mirrors!). Then move to the finer polishing compound or swirl remover with a pad on the mirrors and windows. (I used the Power Ball Mini and it worked great) Then just use glass cleaner as normal to get it all cleaned up and you'll see better than you have when it was a new truck! I've used everything from Windex to Purple Power and Simple Green and none of it removed the old water spots and runs like I wanted. I started with the windows a few days ago and was happy but after working on my mirrors tonight it was like driving a new truck, you may not realize how bad they are until you see what they are supposed to be. I hope this helps somebody out there.
I know of a detail place that uses tht fine steel wool on all the chrome stuff. I am having a hard time finding the 0000 stuff.
Lowe's, Home Depot, and Oreilly's all have it here. Any building supply store should have it. And yes this is just for the outside of the windows. I didn't think of using the wool on the bumpers though, thanks!
