Fifth Wheel Frame
Has anyone conveted an old 5er frame, small or large, into a flatbed hauler? If so what modifications except for decking, if any had to be done? I think a 5er frame with two or three axcels would be a good start. The RV scrape yards must have a few sitting around.

Usually a camper is built lighter than a "normal" trailer of the same size. I'm not saying not to do it, but they don't work well for really heavy hauling.
I actually have a '15 camper that's in VERY bad shape that I plan to make a utility trailer out of. Hopefully soon.
Campers can be had for so cheap its tempting, isnt it? I paid $75 for the 15 footer.
