One wire hook up

It was an easy drop in. One wire hook up and Now I just plug the tach into it. Easy to get over the counter parts at any auto parts store. It is a D.U.I. distributor. The only problem is I am pretty sure it will not work with the Edelbrock cross ram I have or the Edelbrock 6- pack I have. I think it is to big. That is the main hold up. I hate to lose the D.U.I. Can't win them all. The intake is a Edelbrock perfromer with H.P.C. coating in it. So are the headers from Stans headers. Not really happy with H.P.C. coating. Will try Jet hot next time I think.

Header coating

I just had a set of headers coated from a place in Joplin, MO. They look great, he only charges $180 to coat headers. I also had him powdercoat my frame. He did my frame for $300. The business is Performance Coatings Plus, LLC 2138 South Crestview Drive, Joplin MO 64804 417-439-0546. I was very happy with all the work I had done. Bumpers, Rollbar, frame, and headers. Be sure to tell Rick Bruce sent you. www.performancecoatingsplus.com I am rebuilding my 78 F250 4x4 d60's LWB Flairside I bought new in 78. Passing it down to my son when finished. Later Bruce

He installed A D.U.I. style distributor... which is basically a Ford distributor adapted with a Chevy style HEI system.

Which will never work for dual quads or tri-powers. Even the big duraspark dizzy caps hit the Holley Fuel bowls.

(EDIT) I tried attaching a picture, but it is showing up HUGE!

One of these days I'll figure out how to put a pic in my sig. and everywhere else. I kindof did once but didn't work very well. I'm really stupid with computers.
The car is a full tube chassis car still weighing 3100 w/me in it. Best run of 9.26@144. It's a 514 dynoes 847hp.@7000rpm. Car is capable of much more. I shift at 6500 and motor is built to run 8000rpm. Can't afford to blow it up. Took me a long time to get it to go that fast(15 years of shoveling money in it.) IT'S A FUN RIDE
I love the looks of yours. Real clean.
We actually race 3 of them. One runs the 9's; one the 11's(dad); and one the 13's(sister).

this thread i started awhile back should help with posting pictures,

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...-pictures.html

also when you edit your signature, just upload a picture there in the same section to have a picture in your signature, just make sure the picture is not larger than the limit, 450 by 150 pixels or 200.0 KB (whichever is smaller) you can find a number of sites that will adjust a picture to the required size, and the same with a advatar, mine is the BUILT FORD TOUGH logo, but you can do anything you want, just make sure you get it to the proper size, and then save it to your computer then upload it in the signature area and the advatar area, any more problems just send me a personal message, and i will try to help, i am 20 years old, and my father is 44 years old, thus i end up talking him through stuff over the phone, so i am getting good at helping people with computers,
