The contacts on them are not the best Joe best I can offer is to check for power on the back of it. IIRC you can get to it from under the dash from a not so comfortable position
Mine are junk also.. Sometimes they work, sometimes they don't. I plug in my phone and it won't charge. But i jiggle the crap out of it, sometimes i can get it to work. I had my lighter plug apart cleaned everything. Looked super. But still don't work right. Same with the power point. Let us know how you make out. I would like to know also.

If you have the radio removal tools, it's not hard to pull the upper dash.

It is just funny. Mine look brand new.. Looks are deceiving i guess. Don't go by how it looks or you will put it back in for nothing. If you going to pull it for a problem, Change it.
Here's the situation: I use the Power Point for my inverter when doing some of my testing. It's been working fine up until this week. I had to start using the other one, and it blows the fuse too much. Fortunately, I have some 6 awg run in the cab for radio stuff I was able to use today while I was out today. It's just a PITA to need to do that...
